On February 3, the Congress of Deputies ratified Royal Decree-Law 32/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for labor reform, guaranteeing job stability, and transforming the labor market. Most of it came into force on December 31, 2021, with a transitional period until March 31, 2022, for some aspects. The law affects various provisions of the Workers’ Statute, the General Social Security Law, and the Law on Infringements and Sanctions in the Social Order, primarily addressing issues such as apprenticeship contracts, temporary contracts, new fixed-term intermittent contracts, new temporary layoff schemes (ERTEs), and the extension of collective bargaining agreements, among others. In order to offer you a complete overview of the Labor Reform, we will hold a highly practical session next Friday, February 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., lasting approximately one and a half hours, and presented by several speakers.
