MAIN RESULTS
- The flash estimate of the CPI places its annual variation at 3.1% in October, one tenth more than that registered in September
- The annual rate of the flash estimate of core inflation increases by one tenth, to 2.5%
- The annual variation of the flash estimate of the HICP is 3.2%
The estimated annual inflation of the CPI in October 2025 is 3.1%, according to the flash estimate prepared by the INE.
This indicator provides a preview of the CPI which, if confirmed, would mean that the annual rate increases by one tenth, since in the month of September this variation was 3.0%.
This evolution is mainly due to the fact that electricity prices rose more than in October 2024, and to the increase in air and rail transport prices. These increases are partially offset by the decrease in fuel prices.
The estimated annual variation rate of core inflation (general index excluding unprocessed food and energy products) increases by one tenth, to 2.5%.
In October, consumer prices registered a rate of 0.7% compared to the month of September, according to the flash estimate of the CPI.

In the month of October, the estimated annual variation rate of the HICP increases by two tenths and stands at 3.2%.
The estimated annual rate of core inflation for the HICP stands at 2.6%.
