Discounting seasonality and the calendar effect, Social Security affiliation grew by 44,616 contributors over the last two fortnights, remaining at historic highs as it neared 21.9 million employed persons in mid-February. An additional 475,910 were added over the last year.
"The evolution of our labor market could not be more favorable: more jobs are being created, nearly half a million more than a year ago, with higher quality contracts, and we are close to reaching 21.9 million affiliates," comments the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz.
"These figures corroborate that the pace of job creation in our country has accelerated once again in February, which is undoubtedly great news," highlighted the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, in a statement.
